## Why Seed Forty Two?

In code, `random.seed(42)` gives a random number generator a known starting point. With the same generator and sequence of calls, the same seed reproduces the same numbers. That lets us repeat experiments and check their results.

Forty Two comes from Douglas Adams’s *The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy*. The supercomputer Deep Thought gives 42 as the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. But nobody knows what the question is, so the answer alone tells them little.

The seed could be another number. Choosing 42 is our tribute to the story and a shared joke with programmers and data scientists.

Our name connects that humor with a serious working principle: results we can verify and reproduce. Each project starts by agreeing what it must do and how to measure it. Across AI, devices, workflows, and physical parts, we test against those requirements, repeat tests under controlled conditions, and investigate differences.
